Despite appalling mid-summer weather, the club's annual Barbecue and AGM was thoroughly well attended this year
In time-honoured tradition, the brethren braved the elements to cook magnificent food outside, whilst the ladies mostly stayed indoors near the bar. A notable exception was the P.G.M.'s wife Stephenie who stayed close by R.W. Bro Robert's side whilst he demonstrated his culinary prowess.
After all the food had been consumed, the formal part of the meeting took place, with reports from the Chairman, W.Bro Charles Dodge, the Treasurer, W. Bro Bob Gameson, the President, R.W. Bro Robert Vaughan and the Events Organiser W. Bro Bernard Callow.
Bernard and his wife Wendy announced a full diary of events over the next 12 months with - as the P.G.M. remarked - 'something for everyone' to look forward to.
Indeed, Bernard and Wendy became the first recipients of a new club trophy, a silver chalice on a plinth donated by W Bro George Simpson, in recognition of their outstanding work for the club.
