This year, the Worcestershire Masonic Motoring Club held its second bi-annual 'Three Counties Scenic Run' in aid of the 'Help for Heroes' Charity.
The event was attended by TWO Provincial Grand Masters; our club president, R W Bro Robert Vaughan, together with R W Bro David F Macey, PGM of neighbouring Warwickshire in his red TVR.
80 members and friends arrived at Worcester Masonic Hall for breakfast and to receive their packs containing plaques for the cars and route maps. Under blue skies and sunshine, and following 'A' and 'B' roads, the 78-mile route wound through Abberley and on to Clee Hill, Ludlow, Leominster and Bromyard before returning to the Masonic Hall for lunch.
Help For Heroes Co-ordinator Ian Baldry gave a talk about the charity, after which local auctioneer Philip Serrell auctioned some amazing prizes, including a Maserati for the weekend a flying lesson and a blast in four supercars.
Together with a raffle and generous donations from two local businesses - Jewsons Ltd and 1st Fitting Plumbers - a total of £2575.00 was raised for the Help For Heroes Charity!
